The ¡Vamos! Program aims to provide students and their families with the resources, knowledge, and skills to support them in their education. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly tutoring sessions, monthly family engagement nights, college tours, and open communication with school teachers and staff. We also provide one-on-one guidance and support to students who are struggling academically, as well as those who are going through the college application process.
This program consists of high school students in 9-12th grade at Clyde A. Erwin High School, Asheville High School/SILSA, and Buncombe County Early College. Our hope is that once accepted into the ¡Vamos! program as a freshman, these students will continue to be a part of the program throughout their high school career.
We are proud to work with many community partners whose missions, like ours, reflect a commitment to serve the unique needs of Latinx youth and their families:
Thank you to Walnut Cove!

We thank the Walnut Cove Membership Association for their recent grant to support ¡Vamos! and the Roots summer camp program as we introduce Latinx students to UNC Asheville.
